The Argentine llama is quite rare in Canada. They have a certain “exotic” look even without the Argentine-style haircut that is becoming increasingly popular. They have robust bodies and bone structure, mellow personalities and a great presence.
The output of fine dense fibre per animal is amazingly high since almost all the fibre is usable, from their ears to their toes. Once you have one Argentine llama you will, for sure, want more!
Lexie is 37″ high at the withers and fits well into our miniature llama breeding program. Lexie is three-quarter Argentine. She is a gorgeous true black female and her first three crias have all been sired by Poco – Miss Moka, Lily and Finnegan.
This photo shows Lexie and Angie at the September 2015 Saanich Fair, a large agricultural fair on Vancouver Island where the featured animal in 2015 was the llama & alpaca. Lexie behaved very well with the public and participated in the obstacle course several times.
Our latest addition is Santino, purchased from Fortune Creek Llamas. Santino is a full Argentine male. He sired Black Jack, born in 2017, followed by Gemma and Rosie in 2018, Martini, Nutmeg and Maverick in 2019, Lizzie and Smoky Joe in 2020, Angelique, Pedro and Ebony in 2021, Willow, Pablo, Quicksilver and Blackjack in 2022, Miss Calico and Marco in 2023, and Peppi and Inca in 2024.
Our latest addition is Floyd, originally from Fortune Creek Llamas. Floyd is a full Argentine male and will be used to introduce new bloodlines into our breeding program.
